Wesleyan College is a small private liberal arts college in Macon, GA. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, Wesleyan College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Softball Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, recruitment, and have experience coaching pitchers. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to develop athletes and contribute to a growing program.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in managing daily team operations and practices.

Oversee and participate in field maintenance to ensure optimal playing conditions.

Recruit potential student-athletes, including identifying, evaluating, and fostering relationships with prospective players.

Provide pitching instruction and development, working closely with pitchers to improve their skills.

Support game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies.

Help organize team travel, schedules, and logistics.

Assist in promoting team culture, sportsmanship, and academic success among student-athletes.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Experience in playing and/or coaching softball, particularly in pitching, is preferred.

Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and processes.

Ability to maintain and manage softball fields.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Strong commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
