Position Summary
St. Anthony Catholic High School is seeking an Assistant Boy's Soccer Coach. The Assistant Boy's Soccer Coach assists in growing the Boy's Soccer team into a competitive program. The Assistant Boy's Soccer Coach teaches and coaches with the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; Holistic Education.

Description of Job Duties
-Assist head coach in organizing and preparing for productive practice sessions in a positive environment that promotes self-esteem, teamwork, and pride for St. Anthony Yellow Jackets;
-Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises;
-Communicate regularly with team, parents and athletic directors;
-Attend all practices throughout the season;
-Participates in special activities which include parents night, banquets, award night and pep rallies;
-Attends staff meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching and performance;
-Performs any other related duties as assigned by the head coach, athletic director, and principal.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
-Possess effective coaching techniques and skills to teach both offensive and defensive skills and multiple soccer alignments necessary to field a competitive team;
-Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, and techniques of Soccer;
-Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students;
-Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Required Education
High School Diploma or its equivalent

Required Work Experience
-Two (2) years experience as a high school assistant or head coach
-College playing experience will substitute for coaching experience

Preferred Qualifications
-Bachelors Degree;
-Experience as a player at the collegiate or professional level

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
-Must have CDL (Commercial Drivers License) or obtain CDL before November 30, 2019;
-Valid Texas drivers license with the ability to be insured through UIWs vehicle insurance carrier
